In commemoration of the 150th Anniversary of the Supreme Court of Ghana, Prof. Raymond A. Atuguba joined other leading legal practitioners in a series of individual interviews on Channel One TV, reflecting on the Court's challenging yet transformative journey over the past 150 years. The discussions highlighted landmark decisions that have shaped Ghana's constitutional democracy, strengthened the rule of law, and expanded the protection of fundamental human rights. The panel also acknowledged periods of disruption under military rule and examined the Supreme Court's resilience in reclaiming and strengthening its constitutional mandate. In addition, they addressed the pressing challenges facing the judiciary today, including heavy caseloads, delays in the administration of justice, declining public confidence in the courts, and the need for institutional reforms to improve efficiency, transparency, and access to justice.
